Coal Faces, to complete a project on village communities in the Upper Afan Valley affected by the disappearance

of the coal industry since 1970. The work (to be published in book form) consists of text and photographs,

transcribed interviews, poems, stories, and photographs made by the communities themselves

The Photographer's Gallery, London for Pigs and Ingots, a photographic survey of the remains of the lead and silver

mines of Cardiganshire, an important industry in Wales until the beginning of last century

Arts Council of Wales Travel Grant 1987

Pigs and Ingots. This project, in exhibition form, was first shown at Ffotogallery, Cardiff in 1989

and subsequently toured Wales and Germany for three years
