Sue has just moved in to one of the ex-council, newly and very smartly redeveloped flats opposite. She is a masseuse in a health club three days a week and would like to feel part of a community if it didn't impinge on her.

Vickie lives in a bedsit and has been here a year, studying economics, but she is going back to Barbados soon. She is sport crazy – all sport; and invited us round to watch the football with her in colour.
